SEQUENCE STRATEGY
The game involves little to no strategy. It is all in all a fun party game. The most interesting part is the decision making. Being very basic in its game play, it involves deciding over whether;
- To add another, to an already made sequence.
- To start a new sequence
- To block one of the opponents sequence.
The game does not allow for mutual discussion among the teams, so aid of any hints; either visually or with gestures is prohibited. This becomes quite tricky when the players need a dire sequence in order to win the game. It is also the fun part that converts into a strategy making mode. Each player has to be decisive enough to progress the game.
Something with games that utilize cards, they do rely heavily on luck factor. Sequence making in the game is part strategy and rest is all owed to luck. With every move, the player expects to draw a particular card. Being a chance game, the draw seldom proves right for the player’s expectation. Such situation calls for an alternate plan based on the above mentioned 'deciding factors'.
The printed chips in the four corners of the game board are Bonus chips. All players must use them as though their color marker chip is in the corner. When using a corner, only four of marker chips are needed to complete a Sequence. More than one player can use the same corner as part of a Sequence.
Added to it, is the involvement of the dead card. ‘Dead card’ as the term signifies are those cards that cannot be used on the board. As the places marked on the board representing that card is already occupied, this way the card is rendered useless. The players with such cards get to swap those with another card during his turn of play. They can choose any from the discarded pile of cards. This allows the player to resume with the proceeding game.
