Drawing is not your cup of tea? Pictionary is not all about drawing.
Board games have long been famous among youngsters, families, friends and even social gatherings. These games have been inspired by culture and have existed during the pre-historic times as well. History, geography, politics, travel etc have been among the many chosen themes. Among the more developed games Chess, Monopoly and Scrabble have been popular board games.
Pictionary is one such board games discovered in the year 1985. Pictionary has evolved and changed since its origin. This word guessing game is loved by kids, youngsters as well as adults. It has been a part of birthday parties, a casual gathering and even school events. It’s a game in which one guesses the correct word after looking at the other player draw it. For instance if the word is Dinosaur then it has to be guessed after another player of the same team draws it and helps its team member guess the correct word.
Such word games and puzzles have always been a part of the kids’ world. They are entertaining, fun and challenging. Comprehending is the basic requirement of such games. While crossword puzzles have always been related to with mature adults, games like Taboo, scrabble, hangman etc have been associated with young children. Sometimes these word games have also been a part of education. Pictionary since its origin has come a long way and the recent edition is out by the Singapore Pack. It contains 300 new words that have been suggested and formed by fans of Pictionary in Singapore. This game has a serious business to it as world championships are played around the various countries. Like many sports, tournaments take place and the champion is awarded titles.
i-sketch is a online Pictionary alike game. Recently a junior version of Pictionary has also been introduced.
