The object of this game is to become the richest builder on the boardwalk by winning properties having the highest total value.

Be the first to snatch all cards of a colour group and lay down your hand. House and hotel cards add to the value of your set while Token cards multiply payoff.

Monopoly Express is an updated version of the game called Don't Go To Jail. The game is played for "dollars" instead of points. The game is sometimes confused with the card game Express Monopoly.
Monopoly is also available in a variety of customized special editions including a slot machine game and various video game versions. Most of these special editions use standard monopoly or game money, but some of them use customized money.
